What We Have Here is a Failure to Communicate

OK, I had a totally different cartoon to upload this morning, but I was pretty sure that posting that one would cost me my job, so I went with one that's not controversial in any way.

I just hope they wait to fire me until after the HighEdWeb conference next week!

we definitely feel your pain. We've been through the same thing, and for some reason, seem to go through it again about every 6 months. [sigh]

I am somebody in charge of a department home page, and some of us really do understand that we don't need to be on the home page, I promise! But is there a happy medium? Sometimes it seems those department pages get buried so deep nobody can find them without getting lost in some bizarre website Bermuda Triangle, or the URL to access them directly ends up being so long and complicated that you give up in exhaustion trying to type it in with all the underscores in the right spot. There's got to be a middle of the road approach out there!

If I had a nickle for every time I've thought, "Here's a post I want to write, but doing so will probably cost me my job." ...

I work in the web department at the University of Colorado-Boulder. I feel like you must have been a fly on the wall in our meetings. This whole site seems to be written about the situations we deal with. Good work!
