I really enjoyed this comical description!

I don't think you could have described a committee meeting any better! Especially the comment about the department wanting to be on the home page. Keep up the good work...

i second that emotion!

all the imagined gunpowder and flying lead that have been expended in meetings exactly like this at our college ALONE would supply the Marines with enough ordnance to level the whole of iraq.

i feel yer pain, brother.

Love it! I would have forwarded the link to a few colleagues, but I don't think the guns would be appreciated post-Va Tech. Can you do a version with food fight? ...water balloons? ...trap doors?

OMG, anonymous, lighten up!

Anonymous... the 'ammunition' is strictly metaphorical in this case and not intended to suggest any sort of physical violence. The subtext of this cartoon wasn't about campus shootings but rather about being prepared to address distracting issues in redesign meetings, and having sufficient 'ammunition' to support your perspective.

I showed it to someone who isn't a designer on our committee.

They didn't get it.

Oh well, every designer I've seen loves this. It's printed and posted in my office (next to the lyrics to Code Monkey by Jonathan Coulton)

Love ALL of these. I have lived every single one.

Now, now, don't lump all of us non-designers together - I'm from the tech side of the house and almost fell out of my chair!

it's too unrealistic - the web team would never be invited to this meeting. what have they got to do with homepages?
