Welcome to Redesignland
Redesignland is the place where web developers live and work. Some people say that it looks a lot like hell, but my understanding is that you have to die first before you can go to hell, and most web designers and developers only wish they were dead.

I wish there was a way to pound your image of the web team into peoples head. I think most still see it as one dude with a lot of appendages.
That perception exists here to a degree as well, and in fact, each of us on our team wears many hats. It's about roles more than people, but no one person can reasonably fill all of these roles or be expected to be expert in all of these roles.
That point needs to be driven home.
