An Unsatisfying Conclusion
Let the hate mail begin!!
This is all true. Prophead has taken a new position as a library dork, and I'm moving out of the CMS world and more into project management.
To be honest, I knew this day was coming. I've made my peace with leaving the web world; the lack of TFRLs since HighEdWeb sends a pretty clear message that it's pretty much done.
I'm not really interested in someone taking over TFRL. If you have ideas for a comic or whatever, just do it! It doesn't need to be based on TFRL.
I do want to say that you folks are wonderful and your support of TFRL has been nothing sort of amazing. I've felt very honored to know many of you and will miss the high ed web community dearly.
Thanks for a wonderful experience; it's been worth every minute of it, and I wouldn't trade it for anything (except maybe large stacks of unmarked bills).

Craptastic. Just when we I get a brother in arms with Cascade he leaves. Have fun in PM land. Watch out for the inconvenient truth that PM software is less evolved than CM software.
Long time reader, first time (and last, it seems) commenter.
I will miss this blog. It sometimes helped me to put my very own workplace cartoon characters in perspective.
All the best!
Good luck - we will miss TFRL. I always wanted you to release your character icons to make it so they could add commentary to my powerpoint slides. Kind of like Mystery Science Theater for PowerPoint. But I guess it is better that TFRL is what it is, forever frozen in time.
Ahhh, Chico State -- curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal. This is a sad day in my highedweb existence; I think you should be able to ride on your red stapler coattails and crash the conference at the very least. TRFL brought the LULZ and frequently made my day. I hope the level of absurdity decreases in your world. Don't forget us.
your blog opened a happy tag in the lives of our invalid html. farewell and thanks for the markup!
#sadpanda. But that's being selfish. Hope the move proves fruitful and fulfilling, or at least less maddening. Great meeting you at #heweb10 and may the new bend in the road bring happiness!
I shall raise a glass in your honor tonight. OK, maybe at lunch. It's the holidays. Good luck in PM land!
Tony,
Wow. You've had a great run with TFRL and I've enjoyed the humor and the truth in every strip. I just read Nevin Martell's book about Bill Watterson and appreciate more than ever the desire to move on when something like this has run its course. Good luck to you and best wishes: thank you for getting it right so many times and for brightening my day with TRFL.

I've been worried about something like this every since HighEdWeb gave me the nod for their keynote instead of you. If only I could go back in time....
Seriously, though, I'm really going to miss TFRL. Hope life is great in the library.
*applaud*
Thanks for all the laughs. You will be missed. :o(
Good luck and best of wishes!
I'm very happy for you, Tony, and I hope that you'll find some sort of satisfaction in project management. I know you'll do a great job.
You (and TFRL) will be sorely missed in the HighEdWeb community; that's for certain. I am grateful that I got to meet you and hang out with you so much at the conference.
Now, go out there and knock 'em dead (or at least render them unconscious). :)
NOOOOO!!!! Tony, I'm really, REALLY going to miss you and TFRL. Please keep in touch with all of us in highed. Still going to try and make it out to Chico sometime to stay with you and prophead ;)
I too used to work in web team at a university and some days it was like you were drawing our team.... you provided our team with much laughs and support knowing we weren't the only ones...... best of luck, however I suspect that the world of PM will bring a wealth of new characters and hopefully another blog....
So sorry to see Redesignland leave! We are just starting a website redesign project - I sometimes wondered if you were listening in to some of our team meetings! Enjoy project management, and maybe we'll see a ProjectManagementLand blog! I enjoyed meeting you at HighEdWeb 2010. Thanks so much for all of the smiles and wisdom. This blog is funny - but it talks about real-life situations. I will use so much of what you have taught throughout our redesign (and afterwards).
After only finding your site today, spending most of the evening reading the entire set and laughing out loud, I must say I'm sorry I missed the ride. Hope you are doing well in your new role.
